Carl is originally from Louisville, Kentucky, and graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor of Theater Arts. Carl believes that the arts are a gift to share, and as such, has taught Theater and Jazz 101 in middle and high school in New York City. In addition to being an actor, Carl is also a director and producer, have directed plays such as “Whose Afraid of Virginia Woolf,” “The Passion,” and “Holiday in Harlem” and “The Gift Giver,” as well as “Ode To Mr. B the Musical.” Carl is a proud father of two and husband of the lovely Christine Traci Buckner.

Carl is also a Homeless Outreach Minister, advocating for those New Yorkers who live marginally and are homeless. Carl believes that service to others, whether in ministry or the arts, is life-giving and life-saving and is “inexorably linked.”
